Pelvic Tuck
What is a ‘Pelvic Tuck’ and why is it important.
The Pelvic Tuck can make a big difference to how comfortable and supported both you and your child will be.
Most babies will naturally sleep in a knees up, curled position similar to the fetal position while in the womb. This position is encouraged in a sling and in arms to give full support to the child’s back and hips, promoting a healthy hip position for them to grow and develop.
Encouraging a child to sit in a knees up position that creates a J shape down the back, knees higher than the bum will aid and support a healthy hip position.
Remember we are always here to help, whether it’s just checking you are doing ok to helping you learn a new skill.
